This month, our team went to Guizhou. Six days, five nights. A two-hour flight from Hefei to Guiyang. This was more than a nice perk from our boss – it was also a chance for the team to come together. No complicated tasks, no mandatory reports. Just a real trip where we walked out, walked in, and came back together.

Day 1 – Guiyang: First dinner, first laughs

We landed late afternoon. No activities – just dinner. We tried Guizhou's famous烙锅 (wok grill). Hot iron pan, fresh ingredients, spicy dip. That night, the only thing hotter than the grill was our conversation.

Day 2 – Huangguoshu Waterfall: Wet, loud, and happy

The real sightseeing began. Huangguoshu was massive – louder and wetter than expected. Mist on our faces, fog on our lenses. We walked, took photos, got caught in the spray. Everyone ended up laughing.
Day 3 – Zunyi Conference Site: History, thoughts, and songs on the bus

This day was different. We visited the Zunyi Conference Site. After the guide's talk, our boss asked each of us to share our thoughts. Some spoke simply, some were moved. On the way back, the bus felt so warm that we started singing – one song after another. Old tunes, childhood songs. It just felt natural. That day, we weren't just colleagues. We were classmates on a spring trip.

Day 4 – Libo Xiaoqikong & Miao Village: Green water and a long-table feast

The water at Libo was unreal – clear and emerald green. We walked across the old seven-arch bridge. In the evening, we arrived at the Miao Village. The long-table feast stretched out, rice wine cups ready. Miao girls came around with singing toasts – lively and joyful. And if you didn't want to drink, a polite "no thanks" was fine. No pressure. When night fell, lights covered the hills like stars. We walked through the village like a scene from a movie.
Day 5 – Jiayou Tower & Qianling Mountain: A slow day in the city

We slowed down in Guiyang. Jiayou Tower stood quietly by the Nanming River. At Qianling Mountain, there were wild monkeys, an old temple, a gentle breeze. Everyone walked at their own pace. No rush. No one left behind.

Day 6 – Qingyan Ancient Town, then home

Our last morning: Qingyan Ancient Town. Stone streets, old walls, braised pig trotters, rose candy. We wandered, bought snacks, took final photos. After lunch, we headed to the airport. Two hours later, we were back in Hefei.

Six days. Not too long, not too short. We didn't play icebreakers or do trust falls. We just –

ate together, got wet together, listened to history together, sang together, walked through green mountains together, drank rice wine together, watched a city tower at dusk together, bought snacks together.
